Benagil's sea cave is the Algarve's signature shot. We approach the slow way — coasting past Marinha and Carvalho's hidden coves, then easing the tender inside the cave when conditions allow. On the 7-hour route we keep going east toward Albufeira's striated cliffs and pause for a long swim at one of the quiet inlets only the boat crews know.
Routes are decided on the morning of the charter. If conditions favour Benagil Cave, the captain reads the wind at the marina and shapes the day around what the sea is doing — never around a fixed schedule.
