Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all private charter bookings made with The Sailor (Cintia Escudeiro, sole trader, Portimão, Portugal, RNAAT licence nº 1118/2023). By confirming a booking you agree to the following conditions.

Booking & Payment

• A deposit of €400 is required to hold your chosen date. The remaining balance is due on the day of the charter, before departure.
• Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of the deposit.
• Payment may be made by bank transfer or in cash. Details will be provided upon booking confirmation.

Cancellation by the Guest

• Cancellations made more than 14 days before the charter date: deposit refunded in full.
• Cancellations made 7–14 days before the charter date: 50% of the deposit is refunded.
• Cancellations made less than 7 days before the charter date: the deposit is non-refundable.

Cancellation by The Sailor

• If the captain cancels due to adverse weather or sea conditions, you will receive a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit.
• The captain's assessment of weather and safety conditions is final.
• We will make every effort to offer an alternative date when a cancellation occurs.

Charter & Conduct

• The maximum capacity of Julieta is 8 guests. This limit cannot be exceeded.
• The captain has full authority over the vessel at all times.
• Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards the crew, fellow guests, and the marine environment.
• The consumption of illegal substances on board is strictly prohibited.
• Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Liability

• The Sailor holds the required maritime insurance and RNAAT licence for private charter operations.
• Guests participate in water activities at their own risk.
• The Sailor is not responsible for personal belongings lost or damaged on board.

What Is Included

Every charter includes captain and crew, fuel, drinks and food, snorkelling equipment, two paddleboards (SUPs), towels, and Bluetooth audio.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Portimão, Portugal.
